Brad Harris - Hobart Photographer

Brad Harris commenced his career in photography in 1990, getting a job in a studio in the country NSW town of Cooma. Working with the only photographer in the area, Brad soon got to learn skills in all fields of photography, including wedding, portrait, industrial, commercial, product, real-estate, sports, schools and formals and even art-reproduction.

In 1995 he completed a 3-year course at Canberra Institute of Technology, gaining an Associate Diploma of Arts in Photography, and was selected in the top ten graduating students Australia-wide.In 2002, after 12 years at the studio, and having shot over 400 weddings and 1000's of portraits, he struck out on his own to create Brad Harris Photography, which has now evolved to become BH Photo. His work philosophy is to enjoy and give each job 100% of his ability. He is aiming to earn a living, not build an empire.Since 2005, Brad has worked as the staff photographer for the highly-regarded FlyLife magazine, where he does much of the photography, website design and graphic design. In 2007, Brad photographed and co-authored
In Season Tasmania - A Year of Fly Fishing Highlights
. It is a coffee table book that has received much applause, and was awarded 'Book of the Year' at the prestigious Print Industry Craftsmanship Awards in 2008. See details of the book here. Brad's work has appeared in publications such as
